The Sons of Portugal Band was founded in 1940 by the members of the Sons of Portugal Club. Currently, the Band calls the Portuguese Cultural Center its home and continues to provide traditional band music to events in the Danbury area.  Visit http://www.sopband.com for more information.

Band Rehearsals Sunday Mornings 10:30 am to 12noon

Beginning January 9th, 2011

Breakfast: Authentic Portuguese Sausage Bread & Doughnuts - 10am

We are looking for musicians from all skill levels.  You don’t have to be Portuguese to join.  We currently have musicians from Western Connecticut State College, Danbury, Bethel, Brookfield, Newtown, and New Milford High Schools as well as experienced musicians from the greater Danbury area.

Concert Season: Two Performances - December and April

Parade Season: May, June, and September
