On June 2, 2006 the Portuguese Cultural Center awarded the Sons of Portugal Scholarships to the following students

* The fifth place high school award was presented in honor of Richard Dohan, by his wife and Manuel Ribeiro. This award is funded by Mrs. Dohan & Manuel & Manuela Ribeiro.

** A Special Award was presented in honor Rui Miguel Caetano Award. This award is funded by his daughter, Natalie Ferreira

*** The Santana Ventura Portuguese History Scholarship was created in honor of the parents of Americo Ventura, Valentine Ventura and Olga Monteiro who are the benefactors of this award. In order to be eligible to receive this award a student needs to write a paper on a segment of Portuguese History.
